Working in Partnership

Working in partnership is a powerful way to achieve more. We are working in partnership with Giving World.

Giving World partners with businesses and charities to redistribute end-of-line, surplus and discontinued products for free, to the most deprived communities across the UK.

Through a network of partners, these surplus supplies are given for free to the most vulnerable in our communities. without their donation these brand new, unopened items may otherwise be sent to landfill. These items can include:
  • Toys
  • Warm winter clothing
  • Toiletries
  • Basic household products
  • Plus lots more
It is impossible to overstate the impact the goods have for beneficiaries such as
  • Powerful stories of making low incomes stretch
  • Preventing debt and high-risk loans by providing household essentials like toiletries and cleaning products
  • Preventing social isolation with new clothes and shampoo

With none of the other areas they are involved in, running a swap shop, Giving World were very impressed with what we produced. They came down to visit us last year to film what went on and interviewed some the of the local residents who are beneficiaries of the project. Giving World thought this was brilliant idea and they said it would be great if we could run more of these in our other areas of NWK ie, Dartford and Swanley. We explained that we could if funding was available.

The film is to be used to show business sponsors how important their donations can mean to a community and to show other partners what can be achieved. We may be invited to visit others to tell them about our project.

We signed up to Giving World a few years ago when the project started, and other groups are welcome to join what is called the Cluster to receive goods. By being on the same Cluster all the deliveries would come to us via pallet delivery as usual for which we have to pay for. However, by sharing within the Cluster the pallet delivery cost is shared.

If your interested in joining the cluster please speak to us.
